Shopify's new AI builder lets you make a store by chatting
Could you skip the web developer and just talk your store into existence?
Shopify launched Canvas, a site builder where merchants describe what they want in chat and its Sidekick AI agent builds and edits the store in real time. It's built into Shopify's existing platform, not a separate tool you have to bolt on.
What this means for your business
If you sell online through Shopify, you may no longer need to pay a developer or theme designer for basic storefront changes — you can just ask for them.
Wondering how this applies to your workflow? That's a short conversation.
